Just a quick post to show you the next instalment of the Industrial Warehouse/Boiler House/Workshop/Water Tower. The next part was the Boiler House, and to be honest there’s not much technical about it. It’s basically a box! But as you would expect from Scalescenes, there’s quite a lot of detail that comes with this box.
I really like the fine detail in these kits. The circular louver vent is ever so slightly recessed from the brickwork. The electrical box on the wall and trunking are not printed on, but rather glued on elements.
Talking of the circular louver. I’m pleased that you can print out as many copies as you need with these kits because i had to print out four because try as I may, I couldn’t cut a perfect circle for toffee!!! Fear not, my Wife Jak is an avid crafter and her stash of craft tools is immense. So low and behold she came up with perfectly sized circle punch. Simple.
Once all of the walls are together, it’s time to add the doors. Two different types for the Boiler House. Standard wooden sliding doors.
And a roller shutter door. Which you can quite easily choose whether to have it open or closed. Just simply cut out the body of the shutter to the required height.
A simple flat roof with a couple of roof lights.
Add the wall coping and that’s the Boiler House done.
Sorry I lied. I’m not finished, there’s a chimney stack to add. By simply lightly scoring the card and gluing together with the aid of a couple of clamps. Together with a simple base, you can make a very effective chimney.
Put it all together and hey presto! A finished Boiler House.
And a sneaky peek at the Warehouse and Boiler House together.
Next is the Workshop. Watch this space.
Until Next Time………..
